Florida Winter Landscaping Workshop Series

Beginning in January, specialists with Pinellas County Extension and the St. Petersburg Water Resources Dept. will present a series of free landscaping and water conservation workshops. Learn how to create and maintain an attractive, Florida-Friendly landscape that saves water, time, and sweat! Classes will be held from 6 to 8:30 pm at the Water Resources building, 1650 Third Ave. N.,on the following dates: 

  • January 24: Florida-Friendly Landscaping and Gardening for Wildlife
  • January 31: Proper Fertilizer Use,  Rain Gardens  and Rain Barrels
  • February 7: Landscape Design 1- Basics (the first of two classes). 
  • February 21: Landscape Design 2- Clinic
  • February 28: Sensible Sprinkler Systems and Micro-Irrigation Clinic
  • March 7: Landscape Maintenance - Pruning, Composting, and Mulching
